Provider: Worthy Container / Web: www.worthycontainer.com
Standard Compliance: ISO 668, ISO 1496-1, CSC Certified
Side-access containers from Worthy Container provide specialized entry points for oversized cargo and high-frequency pallet access. While the Full Open Side model offers a clear span, the 2-Set Door model is engineered for structural rigidity and segregated storage.
Full Open Side (4-Door): No center pillar. The side opens as one continuous 20ft span using a bi-fold system.
2-Set Door Model (with Center Post): One side is divided into two separate sections by a permanent structural center post. Each section has its own independent set of double doors.

3. Structural Construction: The Center Post Advantage
This model is the preferred choice for heavy-duty industrial applications and multi-story stacking:
Structural Center Post: A permanent vertical steel pillar is welded into the center of the 20ft side. This pillar supports the roof load directly, making the unit as strong as a standard dry container.
Independent Access: Because the side is split into two "bays," you can open one set of doors to access specific tools or inventory while the other remains closed and secure.
Ease of Operation: The doors operate on a standard cam-lock system, making them easier to open and close on slightly uneven ground compared to the pillarless bi-fold model.
Pillarless Span: Engineered with a massive, reinforced top header beam to allow a full 20ft unobstructed opening.
Bi-Fold Logic: Doors "concertina" out to the sides, perfect for loading 19ft pipes or wide machinery.
High Cube Advantage: Choosing the High Cube (HC) version of either model provides an extra 1 foot of vertical clearance (8' 1" side opening). This is essential for forklift entry with tall pallets or for housing large industrial generators.
Inventory Control: In the 2-Set Door model, the center post allows for the installation of an internal partition wall, effectively turning one 20ft container into two separate 10ft storage rooms with their own private side entrances.
End Access: Every unit includes the traditional rear double doors as standard, giving the container three distinct loading zones (2 side bays + 1 end).
New (One-Trip): Pristine condition with factory-installed Lock Boxes on all door sets. Ideal for retail, cafes, or high-value equipment.
Used (Cargo Worthy): The 2-Set Door (Center Post) model is more common in the used market. Worthy Container ensures all used units are "Wind & Water Tight" (WWT) and that the center post is structurally sound.
Locking Points: The 2-Set Door model features a high density of locking bars. Ensure all eight (8) side-door bars are engaged to maintain the weather-tight seal.
Gasket Inspection: With two sets of doors on one side, there is an increased "seam length." We recommend inspecting the gaskets annually to ensure no water ingress, especially around the center post junction.
Lubrication: Standard grease application to the hinge pins will ensure the doors swing freely for 10+ years.
Foundation: While the Center Post model is more forgiving than the pillarless version, a level surface is still required. If the container is tilted, the doors may "bind" against the center post, making them difficult to lock.
Support: We recommend supporting the unit at the four corners and directly under the center post on the door side.
Delivery: Delivered via Hiab (Crane) Truck. These units are heavier than standard dry boxes due to the additional steel in the doors and frames.
Clearance: Ensure at least 3 meters (10 ft) of space on the door side to allow the double doors to swing 270 degrees.
