The 40ft High Cube Full Open Side container is an engineering masterwork. Unlike standard containers that rely on corrugated side walls for structural support, this unit features a pillarless 40-foot opening. This allows for the lateral loading of oversized machinery, long-span structural materials (up to 12 meters), and rapid palletized inventory management.

Because there is no central vertical pillar to support the roof, the Worthy Container Full Open Side unit is built with a massive, reinforced high-tensile steel header beam. This beam acts as the primary structural spine of the unit, engineered to prevent sagging over the 40-foot span. This ensures that even when the container is fully loaded, the side doors remain aligned and functional.
The side access typically consists of a multi-leaf bi-fold door system:
Concertina Action: The doors fold back against the corner posts, allowing for a 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100% opening of the 40ft side.
Heavy-Duty Hinges: Each door leaf is supported by industrial-grade hinges with grease nipples to ensure smooth operation of the large steel panels.
End Access: This unit also includes the traditional set of double doors on the short end, providing 270-degree access to the cargo.
Material: 28mm (1.1 inch) Marine-grade plywood.
Reinforcement: To facilitate side-loading via heavy forklifts, the steel cross-members (C-channels) underneath the floor are spaced at high-frequency intervals to prevent floor deflection.
Lateral Loading of Long Cargo: This is the only dry-van solution for 12-meter (39ft) pipes, structural steel, or timber bundles that simply cannot be angled through end doors.
Zero "Dead Space": Pallets can be loaded directly into their final position from the side. This removes the need for "Last-In, First-Out" (FIFO) logistics, as every pallet is effectively "front row."
High Cube Clearance: The 8' 1" side-opening height allows for the entry of oversized industrial generators, server racks, and tall manufacturing equipment.

Due to the extreme technical tolerances required for a 40ft pillarless opening, these units are primarily supplied in New (One-Trip) condition.
Security: Factory-installed Lock Boxes are standard on both the side and end door sets.
Weatherproofing: Fresh EPDM rubber gaskets provide a comprehensive Wind & Water Tight (WWT) seal across the entire 40ft opening.
Paint: Industrial-grade, high-zinc primer and marine epoxy topcoat for maximum corrosion resistance.
Multi-Point Locking: This unit has a significant number of locking bars. To ensure the structural tension of the unit is maintained and the seal remains watertight, all locking bars must be fully engaged.
Hinge Lubrication: With up to 32 hinges on the side doors, annual lubrication with a lithium-based grease is mandatory to prevent the doors from becoming heavy or difficult to swing.
Seal Integrity: The long horizontal gasket at the top of the side doors must be kept clear of grit, ice, or debris.
Critical Warning: Leveling is the most vital factor for 40ft Full Open Side units.
Foundation: A perfectly level, reinforced concrete or hard-standing surface is mandatory. If the site is even 15mm (1/2 inch) out of level over the 40ft span, the header beam will "rack" (twist). This will cause the bi-fold doors to jam or lose their watertight seal.
Support Points: Support is required at the four corner castings. For permanent installations, we recommend additional leveling blocks every 3 meters (10 ft) along the door-side sill.
Delivery: Delivered via Hiab (Crane) Truck or Side-Loader.
Weight: Empty weight is approximately 6 tons (13,117 lbs).
Clearance: Ensure the site is free of overhead power lines and has a 4-meter (13 ft) door-swing radius on the side.
