Shop 40ft high cube used working refrigerator shipping containers — affordable, temperature-controlled, and perfect for transporting large quantities of perishable goods. Fully functional, durable, and ready for long-distance shipping
Technical Specification: 40ft High Cube (HC) Used Refrigerated Container
Status: Used / Cargo Worthy (CW) / Pre-Trip Inspected (PTI)
1. Product Overview
The Used 40ft High Cube (HC) Refrigerated Container is the most cost-effective solution for large-scale, temperature-controlled static storage. These units have typically seen 10–15 years of service in international shipping and are retired based on fleet age rather than loss of function.
Every unit supplied by Worthy Container has been graded "Cargo Worthy," meaning the structural integrity is intact and the refrigeration machinery has passed a rigorous diagnostic test. The "High Cube" design provides an extra 1 foot (30 cm) of vertical height, which is vital for maintaining the "Red Line" airflow clearance in a used unit where efficiency is key.

3. Refrigeration Machinery: The PTI Process
All used reefers undergo a Pre-Trip Inspection (PTI). This is a 2-to-6 hour automated and manual diagnostic that includes:
Component Check: Verification of the compressor, evaporator fans, condenser fans, and heaters.
Calibration: Testing of temperature sensors (Return and Supply air) to ensure accuracy within +/- 0.5°C.
Pressure Testing: Checking the refrigerant charge (typically R-134a or R-404A/R-452A) for leaks.
Defrost Cycle: Ensuring the defrost heaters activate correctly to prevent ice buildup on the coils.
Temperature Range: -25°C to +25°C (Standard operating range for used units).
Power Requirements: 3-Phase 460V (60Hz) or 3-Phase 380V (50Hz).
De-humidification: Standard on most models (65%–95%).
