45ft High Cube (HC) Shipping Container: Product Guide
Product Description
Item Title: 45ft High Cube Shipping Container (9'6" Tall) – Maximum Volume Storage | Extra-Large Conex Box
The Ultimate Solution for Massive Volume Storage The 45ft High Cube (HC) is the largest standard dry freight container in the intermodal industry. Standing one foot taller than standard units and extending 5 feet longer than the ubiquitous 40ft unit, this container is specifically engineered for shippers and businesses that "cube out" before they "weigh out".
With a massive internal capacity of over 3,000 cubic feet, it offers a roughly 13–15% increase in volume over a 40ft High Cube for a minimal footprint expansion. It is the premier choice for storing lightweight, bulky inventory, long-form materials like 40ft pipe/conduit, or for conversion into expansive multi-room mobile offices and residential tiny homes.
Key Selling Points:
- Unrivaled Capacity: Offers the maximum secure storage volume available in the ISO market (approx. 3,040 cu. ft.).
- Extra Headroom: 9'6" exterior height provides an 8'10" internal ceiling, allowing for insulation and framing in conversions without feeling cramped.
- Intermodal Flexibility: Features intermediate corner castings at the 40ft position, allowing it to be secured and stacked on standard 40ft infrastructure.
- Industrial Grade Security: Constructed from heavy-duty, corrosion-resistant Corten Steel and equipped with double-locking cargo doors and high-security lockboxes.
- Heavy-Duty Foundation: 28mm marine-grade plywood or bamboo flooring rated to withstand heavy forklift axle loads up to 16,000 lbs.

Critical Delivery & Site Requirements
⚠️ NOTICE: The 45ft High Cube is a massive asset. Site preparation is the #1 factor in a successful delivery.
- Linear Clearance: A tilt-bed truck requires at least 120 feet of straight-line ground clearance to pull out from under the unit.
- Width Clearance: The delivery path must be at least 12 to 14 feet wide.
- Overhead Clearance: While the container is 9'6" tall, it can reach an apex of 21 feet high during the tilt-off process. Check for power lines and tree branches.
- Ground Conditions: Must be firm and level (gravel, pavement, or dry compacted earth). A 35,000+ lb delivery truck will sink in soft grass or mud.
- Foundation: We highly recommend placing the unit on railroad ties or concrete piers at the four corners to prevent frame "racking," which causes doors to jam.
